What does installation mean?
Sorry to get philosophical on you, but before we talk about how to install, we should talk about why to install.
Command AI is intended for your users (or visitors, whatever you call them). In order for your users to see the nudges you created or that swanky not-a-chatbot-actually-a-user-assistant, Command AI needs a way to reach them. That’s what installation does.
Before installing Command AI, you can still build stuff in the Dashboard and preview them in your product with the extension. But when you’re ready to publish them, you’ll need to do installation.
Command AI only needs to be installed once. If you're using only one product, the installation process is exactly the same as if you were using multiple.
Two steps of installation
Installing Command AI means two things:
- Getting Command AI’s code delivered to your users
- Turning Command AI on for the current user (”booting”), and identifying them (used for analytics and certain targeting conditions)
The second step makes it easy to control which users have access to Command AI, at all.
