Syncs
A sync refers to the process of updating content from a source. That means:
- Deleting articles that were removed
- Updating articles that were changed
- Adding new articles
Command AI handles these updates automatically, so you can trust that we’re using the latest and greatest content.
Sync frequency
Customers on paid plans can select higher frequency syncs, up to daily.
Default visibility
Command AI has to make a decision about new articles that appear in a source for the first time upon sync. Are they automatically made available as part of the source? Or does someone need to manually publish the article within Command AI first.
We usually recommend making the default visibility Live
. If content is being pushed to a public source (like a help center), it's usually sufficiently approved to appear in Command AI. That said, there are situations where turning this to Draft
can make sense.
Manual sync
You can always initiate a manual sync from your dashboard. This is useful if you want Command AI to reflect changes that were made recently.
